Great blend of classic EM styles and melodic spacemusic, from percolating propulsive rhythms to celestial beauty.
NOTES
Elysium Solace is a neo-electronic musical voyage through a shifting digital universe. Although the music is, as a whole, warm, evocative, and sentimental, aspects of some pieces are dark and eerie. Fans of Lougheed's previous efforts will enjoy his trademark haunting, singable melodies; newcomers and fans alike will be challenged by the exciting rhythmic turn of his new music.

Elysium Solace is about contemplating, inevitably, the dark along with the light. This is evident even in the title - one can't have solace, for example, without something to be comforted about. Elysium suggests heaven, a glorious paradise that is reached only after death. Nonetheless, the album as a whole leaves the listener with an overwhelmingly positive, hopeful message: Elysium is more enduring than death, and solace overcomes any tragedy.
